WHAT ARIZONA NEEDS:
We need to renew confidence in our elections. We must remove barriers to voting, adopt state-of-the-art-voting technologies, and build a statewide, computerized voter registration database.
We need to provide better customer service. We must make all services provided by the Secretary of State available online to consumers and businesses alike. We need to expand outreach to the children in our elementary and secondary schools and redouble our efforts to teach the public how to protect themselves against fraudulent business practices.
We need to inspire faith that the public's hard-earned tax dollars will be spent wisely and carefully. We must tighten our belts and adopt new voting methods that will free up money to be used for other important governmental purposes. Any major new program undertaken by the department should be self-financing.
